What is the definition of “article”?

■ Definition of Article
The term “article” is defined as follows in Article 3 of JAMP Conventions: “The term ‘article’ used in the Conventions refers to an object to which a particular shape, appearance or design that determines the function of the end-use to a degree larger than what is performed by the chemical composition was given during manufacture.” Articles have a characteristic in which the density of the chemical contained is fixed. Specific examples of articles and other categories are indicated below:
Substances Single chemical
Preparations Mixture of chemicals : Mixture ( various powders, coating materials, resin pellets, etc. )
Articles Homogeneous materials ( Objects in plate form, stick form, string form, sheet form, etc. made of homogeneous material )
Parts ( Single-function objects manufactured using single or multiple materials, etc. )
SubAssays ( Multiple-function objects manufactured by combining multiple materials or parts, etc. )
Other special cases plated film/coated film/recycled solder, etc.
